Irrigation/Watering: In the absence of rain, your lawn should be watered 2-3 times per week.  Ideally, you should water your lawn early in the morning for 1-2 hours each time. The goal is to provide approximately 2” of water to the soil each week during the hot summer months. Do not water your lawn in the evening, during the hot and humid months, because this creates the perfect environment for lawn fungi/disease to spread.

Mowing:  We like to see the grass mowed frequently and mowed tall (3.5 - 4”). The taller grass crowds out weeds and allows the grass roots to grow longer and stronger which means your grass will be greener and healthier. Also, sharp blades ensure a clean cut preventing brown-tipped blades of grass.

Overseeding: The best time to overseed your lawn is early September/Labor Day weekend.  Please let me know if you plan on overseeding your lawn this Spring so I can plan accordingly!
